The Craft Sessions

block printing on fabric : workshop at The Craft Sessions

Oh man, how can I sum up the pure excellent-ness that was The Craft Sessions? How can I convey the warmth, the joy, the excitement, the comraderie and general sense of belonging that surrounded every moment of the entire weekend? And how can I do it without creating a pathological degree of envy in any and every one who wasn't fortunate enough to join in??

I just can't.

It was amazing. It was wonderful. I met so many gorgeous people who created so much gorgeous handwork in a huge variety of mediums, from embroidery to knitting to dyeing to sewing garments and, of course, patchwork and block printing. I could not have asked for a better introduction to teaching and I could not have enjoyed it any more. I'm going to share a few more photos from the Block Printing on Fabric and Freeform Patchwork workshops that I taught and I apologise in advance for the envy :)

Thank you so much to Felicia and her fabulous crew of pals who pulled this weekend together, it was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. xx

ps. if you weren't able to make it to my workshops and would like to try Block Printing on Fabric, I'm teaching a workshop with Handmaker's Factory on November 16th and there are 2 spots left!

  4. This is so cool. Too bad I'm in a different country. I have so much fabric, I should make a patchwork blanket for us.
