quilt sale

While I was going through stuff for my Misprint & Sample sale, I had to face the fact that I still have a few cot quilts hanging around from my last few months as onegirl. I didn't want to put them into my shop as they don't really fit but I would love for them to find new homes (and free up a big storage tub in my studio). So I'm offering them here at bargain prices in hopes that they might suit someone's kiddo just perfectly; all are the perfect size to use in the cot (crib) or toddler bed, for sunny afternoon picnics or spread out on the floor as a playmat (and I apologise in advance for the crazy overseas shipping costs, AusPost has just changed their shipping prices and it's not pleasant). pretty blocks, containing dusty purples, pinks and greys, framed with scraps of natural linen and then chopped (all but one) exactly in half and pieced back together as a frame for the intact center block. two layers of organic cotton batting create a cuddly soft, thicker than normal quilt. the backing is a simple warm grey/purple dot print and the binding is a gorgeous, subtle woven grey plaid, both reflect and accent the colours used in the front without overpowering them. 90cm x 108cm all cotton & linen. wash in cold or warm water and hang or tumble dry. prewashed & tumble dried to achieve perfect crinkliness
