imaginary sewing
heather bailey's nicey jane wash day ticking, tula pink's plume bird cage, jennifer paganelli's dance with me kimberley
the postman delivered a bundle of fabric to my door today, my first big online fabric purchase for quite some time. i look at it and i see a dress for mae, sheets for sophie, quilted pillowcases for mae's bed... imaginary sewing to keep my brain busy when my hands can't be. sophie is still sleeping in my sewing room but now that the back of the house, including the guest/play room, is functional we are getting ready to move her cot into mae's room. tomorrow is the day and i have no idea how it is going to go. mae can talk up a storm, playing in her bed for up to 2 hours before falling asleep and it will be interesting to see how that works with both of them in there. yes, interesting... that's the word...

GOODLUCK! It is going to be *very* interesting. My two girls started sharing a room four months ago... at the ages of 6 months and just turned 2. It took probably a month to get toddler to learn to stay in her bed and bubba to learn that there is going to be a noisy sister in there with her. It did my head in though as by the end of the day you just want peace & quiet and that so was not happening! But now that they've settled they love sharing and there are constant giggles. It's worth it though! :)

I'm interested to hear how it goes. I've been wanting to try putting my two in together to share a room but I'm terrified of the 'interesting' events that may unfold...
ReplyDeleteWonderful fabrics - and it is fun to think about all the possibilities for new fabrics. Good luck with the sleeping arrangements!
ReplyDeletePlease keep us posted on how the room sharing works out! I hope to do this whenever I have baby number two, but am completely clueless as to how it's supposed to work. I never shared a room with my brother or sister. I hope you get to sewing soon <3
