mae is really into hair clips lately and, although she has been given plenty of cute ones as gifts, i can never find a matching set in her room. so i ordered a batch of forty blank clips from etsy and got to work making her a couple of new pairs. a few cute buttons, a few circles of jersey with a bead center, a little hot glue from the glue gun and voila! clips so sweet that she wants to wear them all at once.

ReplyDeletethey certainly look gorgeous! how strong is hot glue, does it hold well with the tension on the metal clips? does she not try to prize the buttons off? i know Emm would, she's forever trying to take things apart...
ReplyDeletethe glue is VERY strong and the clips come with a little pad of hard plastic so adhere things onto, seems to stick really well. i give mae free reign to play with my jars of buttons (supervised, of course, but more for the safety of my buttons) so there isn't much novelty in pulling the buttons off these :)
