all sorts of news

so i've been going to bed between 8 and 9:30pm for the past 6 weeks or so, felt vaguely rotten, eaten a ton of bread as it was the only thing that appealed, and sacrificed precious sewing time to have naps during the day when mae was asleep. all of these signs point to only one thing...

here comes another one...
12 week scan::december 2, 2009

yep. mae is going to have a sibling, something that i have doubted would come to pass many times over the past year because she has been such a monkey with the sleeping (or non-sleeping)! although i have completely come around to the idea now, i have to admit being slightly less than thrilled when i first found out i was pregnant. i had literally JUST booked all my christmas markets and knew i'd be stretching myself thin as it was plus mae was going through a particularly bad sleeping patch with her first molars were coming in. i kind of thought, "good god, what are we getting ourselves into with TWO???" but you know, i got through my markets (two more to go!) even with the first trimester exhaustion (i would've liked to have more stock and more enthusiasm for sewing but so be it), mae got back into a decent night routine and started having predictable 2 hour naps and suddenly it seems like this may just work out. plus maesey seems so BIG lately, walking around on her own (although she prefers to grip my index finger and pull me around with her), mimicking everything we do, giving kisses and cuddles. i can see how i may be longing for another wee one come next june, when mae is too big to carry and is running all over the place. and man, she is going to be thrilled to have a brother or sister, let me tell you!

so in other slightly related news, i'll be having my first ever SALE this saturday at yarraville market! i'm a bit low on stock (see above) and have decided to sell off some older bits and pieces that i have made over the years. so it's a bit of a sample sale and an older stock sale and, trust me, everything will be cheap! there will be patchwork bibs for $15 (reg $25), patchwork pillows for $20 (reg $30), coin purses for $5 (reg $15), lavender heatpacks for $15 (reg $25) and an assortment of odds and ends, perfect for stocking stuffing and gift giving. i'll have my regular stock as well so if you're after an oobee or fleur, you can get one of those too, although stock is getting low.

thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and bought my creations here in melbourne and through my online shop the last couple of months, you have really made all those hours at the sewing machine worthwhile!
