sickies

man, we have gone through a LOT of tissues this week. mae has finally turned a corner (i hope) today after getting slightly better and then back to bad with her fever/head cold. i, however, seem to be just at the beginning, sore throat for a couple of days and then yesterday it came on as a fully fledged cold. codral and eucalyptus tissues are keeping me upright but words are few and far between. i owe people emails, bear with me kind people, hopefully tomorrow i can face sitting in front of the computer for a longer time.

colour blocks

and for a pic today, i thought i'd finally show what i've been working on slowing for over a week now. little fabric blocks that i'm calling "colour blocks". six different fabrics in common colour, supported with a sturdy interfacing and stuffed with wool fleece, these have been slightly addictive to make. i think they would be fun for babies to clutch and throw and a cute way for toddlers to learn their colours and pick out the different things shown on each side. these will be available at the markets i am doing in november and then online december 1. i think mae will be getting a set for christmas : )

new tags

these have some new little tags that i made using inkjet tshirt transfers and cotton tape and feature a new little name i will be using on some of my products. oohgeedee stands for one girl designwrks in theory but i really just like how it sounds and looks.

  1. Lovely Leslie. I made some for littlest one last Christmas and they are great fun to make and play with. Labels are great, perfect timing, been trying to work out how to do my own. Thanks xox

  10. the labels should wash just fine as the transfers are made for use on clothing. these blocks probably won't be washed too much but i plan to make some labels for skirts for mae and will test out the washing then!
