random snaps from my week...
cot quilt making... i hope to have two light summer quilts to take to matilda's market in november.
toting the baby in the ergo baby carrier... love it and so does she.
heirloom tomatoes to be... the seeds were from a mixed heirloom pack from diggers so the varieties will be a surprise which i think is pretty fun.
trying to fade fabric... i've decided that these two prints could stand to be ever so slightly less bright.
baking chocolate cake... for a friend's birthday tonight, using this recipe - if the cake tastes anywhere near as good as the batter, we'll all be in heaven.
enjoying the first blooms on the new grevillea i planted last year... i thought they were supposed to be yellow tinged with pink but whatever, still nice.
and scoring plenty of smiles from this bundle of cuteness.

that is one beautiful baby! no matter what else you make - you made a good one there!
ReplyDeletehave you tried other baby carriers? is this one that you can wear on front or on back?
ReplyDeletehi rebecca, you can wear the ergo on your front, back or hip which is the main reason we bought it - i find it so much easier to carry loads on my child bearing hips! because she's so small right now, we have to use the "infant insert" that you buy separately and it means she can sit/lay in there sling style until she gets full control over her noggin.
ReplyDeleteI love my ergo too. We went overseas when my son was nearly 2 and it was so good for the airport. My husband carried our son on his back and said he could hardly feel his weight. I don't have the insert so haven't used it for the new baby yet, been using a pouch sling which has been great too.
ReplyDeletelovely cot quilts. Gorgeous baby too!
ReplyDeleteYour bundle of cuteness is very beautiful....and so does your week. Thanks for dropping by my blog too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your photos and your gorgeous bub!!
ReplyDeleteI am also growing some heirloom stripey tomatoes with seeds from diggers. I keep meaning to take photos of my veggie garden for my blog.
And oh, that chocy cake mix has got my tummy rumbling!
if you're taking photos then things MUST be going well with Mae...everything is cuteness times ten. and the good weather....bring on summer!
ReplyDeleteawwwww she's a cutie!!!! well done....its taken me ages to say that but glad she arrived safely
ReplyDeleteI think Mae is getting cuter. How is that possible?
ReplyDelete(I just gave you an award)
So glad you've had a good week.
ReplyDeleteYour Mae is really sweet.
I'm really happy when I come across people using the ergo and they say they love it. I heard really good things about it, so that's what we went with too, though we have yet to use it...our baby should be here any day now!
ReplyDeleteyour girl is quite cute :)
lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to tone down the material, have you considered tea dying them? It will turn them slightly dusky.
