on my desk...
oops, i'm a day late (seems to be running theme in my life lately) but here's what's on my desk this week: lovely scraps of fabric that i'm randomly sewing together for some baby bibs. i finished the couch quilt on tuesday night, very much ahead of schedule as i was planning to hand stitch the binding and thought that would take me a couple of weeks. 5cm in, i thought, "there is just no way i'm going to get through 7 meters of binding this way" so ripped it out and jumped on the machine again. i wish i found hand work relaxing but i just don't. i find getting things finished relaxing and i'm so happy to have something cozy on our chilly leather couch this winter. i'll grab some pics this weekend for a little show & tell!

ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on the hand work. I always think- this would look better by hand, but then I am already working on two other things and move it to the machine instead
