here goes...

okay, here's the deal: many of you have noticed my lack of posts lately and, if you know me in person, my lack of energy. well, i know it's early but i'm finding it really hard to not talk about - on sunday i'll be 8 weeks pregnant! i'm still a wee bit scared to tell people, i feel like i might jinx it or something, this pregnancy that we tried so long for. november would have been 11 unsuccessful months but instead the days just kept going on, it has finally happened and we still can't quite believe it. symptom wise i've been fairly okay until this week when it seems to all have hit me like a ton of bricks. can't shake the tiredness and the fickle tummy. i'm actually missing my company christmas party as i type this and spent most of the day on the couch in front of the fan or back in bed. wouldn't have it any other way, though : )

there are so many people i want to thank for their support, advice and commiseration this year but, lest i start sounding like an oscar speech, just know that every email and comment was and is so hugely appreciated and taken to heart. now let's all just keep our fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for the next 7 months and we have an amazing little keating to gaze at come the end of july! thank you all, again : )

  31. I was thinking about you the other day when I found out a couple I know who have been going through their own set of fertility problems announced they were having twins! OH I am so so happy for the both of you. Get some sea bands...those ugly wrist pulse point thingys for the sickness. They helped me SO much. I didn't just have morning sickness I had all day sickness for like 3 months! Smiling SO big for you right now!!!!

  32. Congratulations Leslie. This is such a gorgeous announcement to finish off the year. The really positive side to all of the morning sickness and tiredness is very symptomatic of a baby very firmly nestled in your womb. Enjoy this journey and I hope all travels well with the this little one. Have a Great Christmas with your partner and family! Take Care.

I'm so excited for you! I was hoping that was the reason for tiredness and lack of posts. Even though early pregnancy is tiring and surreal-feeling it's such an amazing time. I hope it all goes smoothly and you can enjoy your last Christmas as non-parents :)
